From to.be.at to Plandora

Two years of tinkering — from Google Sheets chaos to AI-powered planning — and a new name to go with it.

REBRAND

In 2023, we asked ourselves one question: could we combine social content and travel planning? This is the story of what happened next.

September 2023 — The MVP

We built the MVP version of to.be.at, a simple toy to get user feedback quickly. The goal was not to ship a product — it was to learn whether the idea had any gravity at all.

December 2023 — to.be.at 1.0

We built the first version of to.be.at 1.0 that combined travel content browsing, collection, and itinerary planning into one place. For the first time, the three motions lived under one roof.

What people told us

Early users were generous with their questions — and those questions shaped everything that came after:

  • Itinerary planner seems cool — can I jump straight to it without browsing content?
  • Why do I need another travel discovery platform?
  • Can I use this besides travel planning?
  • I save a lot of content on Instagram and TikTok — can I move it to to.be.at?

April 2024 — Experimenting with AI

We experimented with AI to gauge what was possible. An experiment with Gemini and content processing led us to a completely new way for planners to retrieve information from social content — quickly, and without losing the flavour of the original.

Today — Welcome to Plandora

We've rebranded. Welcome to Plandora — previously known as to.be.at. The name is new, but the thesis is the same: the simplest, most delightful, most collaborative way to plan the trips that matter to the people you love.
