A new Planner — built for desktop, rebuilt for mobile
Faster block drags, a full-bleed map on desktop, three focused layouts on mobile, and Traveller Memory woven through it all.
Planning moves fast — drag, rearrange, second-guess, re-drag. If the tool lags, the plan suffers. Over the last few months we rebuilt the Planner from the inside out so it can keep up with the way real trips come together.
Desktop — a canvas, not a column
The new desktop view treats the map as the canvas. Your map fills the screen; the plan floats on top as focused panels you can summon and dismiss without losing context.
Three panels, one purpose
- Core — your day-by-day plan, always within reach.
- Support — research, notes, checklists, and content you have saved.
- Agent — a Mind-powered chat that can see your current day and help you fill gaps.
Each panel is 400px wide, which means three of them fit comfortably alongside the map on a laptop screen. Open one, open all three, or hide them completely to sightsee.
Mobile — rebuilt around the thumb
The old mobile Planner was a desktop experience squeezed down. The new one is designed for how you actually plan on a phone: one-handed, between moments, often while moving.
Three layouts, one swipe apart
- Map with Column — your day pinned beside the map.
- Map with Agent — chat with your Mind while looking at where you are.
- Map with Plan Draft — AI-generated plans you can accept, tweak, or reject block by block.
A universal toolbar floats along the bottom edge so the controls you need are always a thumb away, no matter which layout you are in.
Memory, everywhere
Every Planner panel is quietly informed by Traveller Memory. Start a plan and relevant preferences surface as suggestions. Chat with the Agent panel and it already knows the things you shouldn’t have to re-type.
Speed
Under the hood this was as much a performance project as a UX one. Deeper hook cleanup, less props drilling, and a block system that re-renders only what actually changed. Dragging days around should feel instant — not like a prompt to the GPU.
What's next
The new Planner is the foundation for a lot of what is coming next: deeper Mind integration, richer block types, smarter agent handoffs. This is the release we have been quietly working toward.
